DURHAM, N.C. – Duke junior forward Jack White has been named to the 2019 All-ACC Academic Team, which was announced Friday.
To be eligible for consideration to the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
The junior from Australia is averaging a career best 4.7 points per game this season and also posting career-best averages in rebounds (5.1) and minutes (22.6) per contest. White is tied for third on the team in blocked shots with 32, is third on the squad in total rebounds (142) , and fourth on the team in assists (25).
White, who majors in sociology and owns a 3.38 GPA, was also recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-District team earlier this season. This marks the 25th consecutive season Duke has had at least one selection to the All-ACC Academic Team, and White is Duke's 94th all-time selection.
