With all of the events surrounding the Boston Marathon bombing, Boston College has canceled Saturday's Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game and all related events as well as all home athletics events scheduled for Saturday.

The eagles Director of Athletics Brad Bates said. "Our first priority is ensuring the safety of our student-athletes, coaches and spectators. Our local law enforcement community has done a phenomenal job this past week, and we do not want our events to serve as a distraction.

My personal feeling is that athletics bring people together in times like this and show would be perpetrators of such heinous crimes that we as a people will not let fear of terrorist attack ruin the fabric of this great country based on freedom.
