Boston College quarterback Tyler Murphy led the Eagles to a 37-31 victory over No. 9 Southern California on Saturday night. The Eagles had not beaten a team ranked in the top-10 in over a decade. This was only the sixth time in school history that this has been done.

Murphy rushed for 191 yards, breaking free for a 66-yard touchdown with 3:30 to play to help seal the victory over a USC team that was itself coming off a good win. The Trojans (2-1) had never lost to BC, but they certainly realize now that they do play football in Chestnut Hill.
