The award will be presented December 10 at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show in Atlanta, GA.
Gallman is one of five ACC running backs on the list. The others are James Connor of Pittsburgh, Mike Dayes of NC. State, Jon Hilliman of Boston College and Shaquille Powell of Duke.
Gallman was Clemson’s top rusher last year with 769 yards on 161 carries, a 4.8 average. The native of Loganville, Ga. also scored four touchdowns and had 24 receptions for 108 yards and a score.
Gallman finished strong with 571 yards over his last six games, an average of 95 yards per game. That included a 191-yard performance against South Carolina in the regular season finale, the second most rushing yards by a Clemson player against the Gamecocks. He also had 101 yards rushing against Syracuse and 106 at Wake Forest.
No Clemson player has won the Doak Walker Award. C.J. Spiller as a finalist in 2009.
