Each Monday during the season the O’Brien Award selects the top eight quarterbacks in the nation for their performance the previous Saturday.
The eight honorees for 2eek 7 include: Trevone Boykin of TCU, Washington State's Luke Falk, Everett Golson of Florida State, Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer, Memphis' Paxton Lynch, Dak Prescott of Mississippi State, Baylor's Seth Russell and Watson.
Watson passed completed 27-41 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns in the win over Boston College last Saturday. The Eagles were the No. 1 ranked defense in the nation entering the game, but Watson led the Tigers to 532 yards of total offense through his passing and running.
In addition to the 420 yards passing, tied for the fifth highest single game total in Clemson history, Watson ran for 32 yards and scored a touchdown. The sophomore finished with 452 yards of total offense, seventh highest for a single game in Clemson history.
Earlier on Monday, Watson was named the ACC Offensive Back of the Week.
