TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Each of the NFL’s four Wild Card games this weekend featured at least one former Seminole. And of that group, the Carolina Panthers (Kelvin Benjamin, Graham Gano), Baltimore Ravens (Timmy Jernigan, Terrence Brooks), Indianapolis Colts (Bjoern Werner) and Dallas Cowboys (Dekoda Watson) all moved on to the Divisional round.
Next week’s playoff action will be loaded with Seminoles, too, as Bryan Stork’s New England Patriots, Tony Carter’s Denver Broncos and Letroy Guion’s Green Bay Packers all await their first postseason action.
Here’s a look at all the Noles in the NFL for Wildcard Playoff Round.
Carolina 27, Arizona 12
Panthers: WR Kelvin Benjamin started and caught four passes fro 33 yards. K Graham Gano finished 2 for 3 on field goals, making kicks of 47 and 39 yards and missing a 43-yarder.
Cardinals: CB Antonio Cromartie started and made one interception, four tackles and defended two passes.
Baltimore 30, Pittsburgh 17
Ravens: DT Timmy Jernigan was inactive. DB Terrence Brooks is out for the year with a knee injury.
Steelers: LB Lawrence Timmons started and made seven tackles (two for loss). LB Vince Williams made two tackles (one for loss).
Indianapolis 26, Cincinnati 10
Colts: DE Bjoern Werner started but did not record any statistics.
Dallas 24, Detroit 20
Cowboys: LB Dekoda Watson made one special teams tackle and was also penalized for running into the kicker.
Lions: DT Andre Fluellen played but did not record any statistics.
